I was hesitant when I first seen the cover of this manga because killing chickens. yeah not the thing that first comes to mind when writing a horror apocalyptic manga but I decided to give it a chance because hey I gave Shiga Hime a chance and I’m really enjoying it so this shouldn’t hurt. And I regret ever reading this. So let’s talk about this manga. oh I forgot to do my intro, man it’s been a long time. Hello people of AA, Suzuki Yamamoto aka Suzu Suzu here to bring you a Wiki Entry (back in my days we would just call this Favorites but complains are for later and boy do I have a lot of complaints about this manga).

So let’s start out with the story first off. Our main protagonist Yuu Enji was beaten and abandoned by his dad (with no info about his mom but assumed to left him and the dad) and now the oldest in an orphanage he’s staying. His goal is to get a job so he can buy the place off his shitty orphanage principal and make everyone else happy. So suddenly at his high school graduation, all the adults there starting to morph into chickens and kill every teen and kid there. Why did this happen you ask? To this current chapter (which is 14 by now) we still don’t have any answers why but it’s happening. Yuu tries his best to protect the orphanage from killing chickens. So that is our story.
Now the characters.
Let’s start out with Yuu, he’s basically your average badass shonen protagonist that will protect his friends at all cost and would give anything in order to fulfill that goal. That is his character in a nutshell. He was beaten by his dad as a kid but that has nothing to do with the plot so far so you probably just forget that happened. He’s the only one that can calm down the children and make them feel safe while the other teens can barely do anything about it. And yeah that’s all to it.
Aki is also your basic female main side character that takes care of the kids by giving food and telling everyone what to do (not in a bad sense). But basically she’s just there. She doesn’t contribute much this far other than watching out for the kids and hate Tora’s decisions (which I will totally get to in a minute).
The childrens aka Yousuke and the rest are the ones who like Yuu chan and depends on him the most. Not really much to talk or complain about them since they’re playing their role right (unlike most in this series) and sometimes try to be tough (mostly Yousuke but the rest care too) to try to tone things down and make the teens feel better. And they’re adorable asf not gonna lie.
Tora. *sigh* here we go. Now Tora currently is my favorite character and the character that is the saving grace from this shitty manga and here is where I will talk about all the characters in a whole here. Tora is as you expected is the smart dude in the story. He’s calm and think normally unlike 98% of characters in this manga. When he’s thrown in this situation of killing chickens threating the orphanage, he is the only one and I mean the only one in this terrible manga that thinks logically and reasonably and what does he gets for it? SHIT! HE GETS SHITTED ON FOR IT! For example, everyone is in a panic and the killing chickens are about to bust down the door Tora is holding back, the kids are crying and asking Yuu for help who is not here and Tora screams telling them that Yuu is not here and for them to listen to him «Tora, don’t scream at them! You’re scaring them too much». I can let that slide. In this situation, it’s best to calm the children down and screaming at them is not the best option but nobody is helping Tora calm down. Next one, the chicken that got in the house and was about to kill Yuu suddenly fell asleep (again absolutely no explanation to why this happened other than plot armor but ok), so Tora used his brain and kills the sleeping chicken. He should be praised for it and protecting the orphanage but what does he get
*sigh*. ok I understand the children thing but would you rather the potential of the kids being killed when the chicken wakes up or them being scarred of a dead chicken they can eventually understand and grow out of and STILL BE ALIVE! My lord in heaven bless these people with some knowledge and some holy booty because this MC is retarded asf and again Tora is the criminal and the one to blame Jesus Christ. And now the one that made me absolutely regret and might drop after writing this blog explaining this crap but I’m going to hold it off after talking about this next character in the story because he’s tide to it as well.
So here comes this random and unhuman like shithead, Atsushi, but nobody gonna remember this asshole’s name so just call him crackhead because he certainly looks like one. He’s a unwelcome party to the group that everyone fears and can’t do anything against not even badass protagonist because he got reflexes but everyone have to suck up to because he has a knife. Something that can be taken away easily when he’s off guard but nobody risking it.

He makes unhuman like requests in order to make himself survive and torture the group into whatever he wants and making things even worse for them. He wants to use the kids as bait for his survival and thinking of nobody but himself. Literally the reason he’s still here in the story is that the author gets a kick out of it when he draws him and makes facial expressions similar to this.
That’s the only reason and I’m not gonna lie, they looks as funny as they are creepy. But we established that this guy is shitty and must be taken care of and the characters knows that (or so we thought). Apparently, when crackhead’s guard was down looking at the chickens outside, our hero Tora decides to push him off to the chickens to get rid of him. Thank you author for this realistic and thoughtout character that response logically and the saviour of the orphanage. Now let’s see what the others think

Excuse me. WHAT?! Someone who is a threat to your family, someone who trying to kill and use children as bait for himself, someone who cut off fingers and threatened to cut of one of the kid’s arm off and you want him to live and you blame your family member for doing the most logical and reasonable thing you can possibly think of doing and you slap him for that. This entire orphanage can go die by the chickens for all I care especially Aki as long as Tora can live and laugh at their grave but of course the author never gonna do such a thing because that would be too easy and the end of the manga. Like seriously I read and finished this author previous work yesterday, Hatsukoi Shinjuu, and it’s 50x better than this. It might be dumb as hell but it was cute and enjoyable. The only thing that this manga has over the other is art, that’s literally it. The reason why I continued reading this pile of crap was because of his previous work which made me have hope for this, there’s a part in this manga where there’s someone collecting eggs from these giant chickens and it might tie in the story and gives us some answers as to wtf is going on and why the adults turned into giant chickens and why are they eating everyone (doubt it will answer everything because how much the plot sucks but hopefully it will answer some, if not then this manga is even shit and not worth anyone’s time), kids are adorable and don’t really have a problem with them except being used as a defense for the retarded main characters to have a reason and sympathy for, and Tora being the only real character who has to deal with nobody on his side and believing him and retards doing retarded things for plot sake and having retarded reasoning to basically tell him to be as retarded as them. I’m done, I might drop this manga and to those who are interested in reading this, don’t, not worth your time and frustration. Man, it’s been so long since I ranted this much
